Historical Kaunic palace with rich and long architectural history has been to the present state reconstructed and designed in barocco period probably by one of the most famous barocco architect working in area of the Czech kingdom, at that time part of Austrian-Hungarian monarchy, Giovanni Batista Santini. Another importan reconstruction has happened in twenties of 20. century, lead by architect Kamil Hilbert.
Last reconstruction in 1997 - 1998 has removed former unwelcomed appendixes and changes, and inserted new life into the palace.
The main street wing contains Alfons Mucha gallery in the ground floor and offices and representation rooms in higher floors. Side wings contain offices and 2 top standard flats. The yard f the palace, reconstructed and reanimated as well, represents the calm oasis in this busy part of Prague centre.
* The project has been developed during my work and partnership in A projekt s.r.o., together with architects Pavel Boček, Jan Čejka and Jan Kasl.
